Food City gives $5 million makeover to store. More investment coming to Chattanooga
Food City marked the wrap-up of a multimillion-dollar expansion and makeover of the grocer's Harrison supermarket Wednesday, with its chief executive saying a new store and another upgrade are in the works in Chattanooga.
State Sen. Bo Watson, R-Hixson, said during the ceremony Food City continues to invest in Hamilton County.
"It speaks volumes to the economy and business climate," he said. Watson called Food City "a huge part of the fabric and makeup of the Tennessee and Southeast Tennessee economy."
